Hey Guys ‘n Gals!

I’d reckon everyone noticed the long downtime, about half a year to be precise.
My apologies for that, I hope everyone found some source of freshness to endure the downtime we had here.  It’s up again but there wont be any new post untill the new site’s fininshed,  it’s kinda lame now(empty mostly), expect a new site up ‘n running around the end of may mid July Q1 2012!(sorry bout that, got to set priorities)

We’re also expecting a new crew of writers and freshness finders, so expect more updates on the site and a broader horizon of music and video!

Anywho, your source for all thats good will be renewed soon, so hold on to your hats!

In addition to Bramski’s earlier post, I thought it might be nice to listen to this.
I’m on vacation in the Bahama’s(which isn’t too bad I might add!), and I don’t have much music with me so, whenever theres power(it falls out every hour), I try to check out some streams, I came across this set Mount Kimbie made and it’s really pleasent, with several alternate versions of their songs and great other tracks aswell, it’s to hot indoors anyway, so I’m going outside now. Enjoy

No tracklist sadly, but check out 36:30 min you gotta admit that sounds too cool for school!
Also if anyone know the name of the track at 50 min, don’t hesitate to let us know!

It’s Chilly Gonzales’ new video, c’mon….., you gotta love it.

Yesterday the british duo Mount Kimbie released their debut album Crooks & Lovers. You might know them from songs like Bave’s Chords and Maybe’s from which a remix by James Blake was posted earlier on the blog.

I really liked the sound of Mount Kimbie when I had first heard of it, it’s experimental, but very accesible when you get used to it.

Check out Before I Move Off, one of my favorites from Crooks and lovers. Also listen to their older tracks, they have the same mood.
Enjoy!

Peace,

Bramski

SBTRKT has been spreading the goodness of music on his soundcloud, in the last two days he released two new tracks.
Although, his latest soundcloud upload is a preview/clip, but there’s definitely something cool brewing up.
Ready Set Loop, really has a great sound I can listen it over and over.
It’s very moodymental with a twist of soul and funk.

And as a soundcloud post bonus some other nice new soundcloud finds:

Most of you have probably heard this tune by now.
It’s a reall summer groove hit, it gets the best out of me!
The music video, directed by Irina Dakeva, is composed of approx 2000 images watercolor painted one after another.
It’s also released on  a 10″ including a remix by aeroplane, check it.

James Blake does it again!
He’s been busy again lately and dropped this massive CMYK EP, sadly it’s digital only.

Man I would have loved to listen to this on vinyl. It’s floaty, it’s rocky; its explosive and has some awesome sounds and vocal modulation.
An artist needs to earn a living, so I’m not gonna be a dick and make his whole EP downloadable here, if you like it, buy it!

Also some remixes, like a remix he did on a crookers track (I never knew!).

Ancestors(Prod. by Flying Lotus) was the song that inspired me
and Rowdy Wiegmans to make this musicvideo.
The acting done greatly by Jeroen Hogeboom.
The heavy drag that the song has and the pain in Gonjasufi’s voice are like a heavy burden you cary with you.

Shinichi Osawa is a great producer, no questioning that.
But the guys from Mustard Pimp really worked this one out, its a bizarre sound with great glitches and good bass.
